iZ Interactive Speaker

iZ Interactive Speaker 1

Few products are as accurately named as the iZ, because the first question most people ask on seeing him is ‘what the hell iZ it?' What makes him special is just how many answers there are to that question. Izzy, as we've affectionately dubbed him at Stuff HQ, is an audio speaker, a composer, a beatbox, an instrument – and as you can see, ridiculously cute. If you want something a touch more original than slimline silver speakers, iZ is for you.

This amazing audio alien features four modes: Speaker, Play, DJ and ‘WizzFM'. As you listen to the music, you can watch his eyes dance and his nose light up! Here's how the modes of iZ work:-

* Speaker – Plug almost any music source – iPod, MP3 player, CD player – into iZ with the cable provided.

* Play – You're in full control of the music – make and save your own mixes.

* DJ – iZ develops a mind of his own, mixing it up like an intergalactic Fatboy Slim. Press his belly for a change if his mix isn't to your taste.

* WizzFM – You'll never find a radio station like this on your nan's old wireless. iZ plays songs in his own inimitable style. Don't like it? Bend his ear – literally!

iZ Interactive Speaker 5As if this isn't entertaining enough on its own, you can play with iZ's various body parts (ooh madam) to create all kinds of added effects. Press his belly to add one of seven electro-beats to make you boogie. Flick his horn – which lights up and changes colour as you play – to create retro-style scratching sounds. iZ also proves he has or good ear for music, or indeed, two of them; twiddle his right ear to play one of seven additional rhythms, or his left to add one of seven melodies. He can also sing in six different speeds.
iZ Interactive Speaker 6

Last but by no means least, iZ even speaks to you! He babbles away in his own jibber-jabber language at random intervals, and even makes the odd comment on the music! iZ is much more than just a musical device – he's a companion too. who could resist?

Uses 4 x AA batteries, available from us. Please note colours may vary.

MiniMoto Ducati 916 (Red)

Blata MiniMoto Ducati 916 (Red) 1

The stunning appearance, incredible speed and general thrilling-ness of the amazing MiniMoto Ducati 916 pocket-sized motorbike will astound you.

Blata MiniMoto Ducati 916 (Red) 2This perfectly scaled-down replica of the legendary Ducati 916 is a miracle of modern design and engineering. MiniMotos boast all the high quality craftsmanship and style of the full-sized versions. Our MiniMotos come from the world's most respected manufacturer, and feature superbly welded tubular frames cloaked in race replica bodywork.

Blata MiniMoto Ducati 916 (Red) 3 Propelled by a 39cc Blata 2-stroke petrol combustion engine, you'll feel the torque the moment you accelerate away. Whilst the engines of some miniature motorised vehicles produce little more than a gentle hum, the MiniMoto's engines produce the roar of a full-sized motorcross bike.

The MiniMoto Ducati 916 can achieve amazing speeds of approximately 37 mph, which feels mind-blowing when you're a matter of inches from the ground. Its superb power and speed means that genuine, full-on racing can be a reality in the right environment. The faint-hearted need not apply!

Before we selected the MiniMoto range, we extensively tested all the models (it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.) This is what one of our testers said:
‘Being over 6 feet tall, I was sceptical whether I'd be able to ride it. But once I got on and got moving it was surprisingly comfortable. Once you've got the acceleration going you can really feel the force. That's when you realise you're doing over 35 mph and your knees are only a foot from the floor! Scary – in a really fantastic way.'

As well as being suitable for riders of all heights, the MiniMoto Ducati 916 can take weights of up to 242lbs. So even if you're a giant who stuffs pies down his throat like there's no tomorrow, you can still use this fantastic bike. MiniMotos are also incredibly sturdy and durable, built to withstand the inevitable knocks from raucous off-road racing.

Sony's new Bravias to include 46-inch, LCD

Sony has taken the wraps off of the new Bravia LCD TVs that the company first showed off at CES. Unfortunately, the 82-incher they wowed us with is just a "technology statement," according to the company. The shipping models will top off with the 46-inch KDL-46S2000, which will have an MSRP of $4,499 and specs that include a built-in HD tuner, 1366x768 resolution, and a 1300:1 contrast ratio. If you're looking to spend a little less, the new Bravia S line also includes a 40-incher $2,999, a 32-inch set for $1,999, and a 26-inch model at $1,499. The new models are expected to ship in May.
